John Keehan is gambling on four of his grandsons playing League football.
He has been in touch with bookies to find out what odds they will give him.
"I am going to have a bet on the four of them to play in League football at the same time," said Keehan.
"It has only happened once in the last 60 years with the Allens, Clive, Paul, Martin and Bradley."
Keehan's grandson Michael Standing plays for Albion's First Division rivals Bradford.
The former Seagulls schoolboy has been joined at Valley Parade by his 17-year-old cousin Kevin Keehan junior, the son of Albion's commercial manager.
John Standing, Michael's 15-year-old brother, is on trial with Nottingham Forest this week.
Joe Keehan, Kevin junior's brother, is also on trial at Gillingham.
Power problem
Albion's match against Millwall last Saturday almost kicked off late, because of a power problem at Withdean.
The fault was discovered on Friday, but an engineer did not arrive with the spare part required until after the turnstiles had been opened.
Martin Burholt, senior contracts manager for Withdean bosses Ecovert South, explained: "The game was never in doubt but there could have been a delay to the kick-off, so we ran some of our systems from the main generator during the match.
"If there had been a problem with that we had other contingencies in place. Everything that needed to work did work. If the floodlights had been needed they would have been on as well."
Steele mission
Former Albion forward Lee Steele is hoping his match-winning double for Oxford at Torquay last Saturday will earn him a regular starting role.
Steele has been blighted by injury since signing for Oxford on a Bosman free transfer from the Seagulls last summer.
"It's been a long time coming," he said. "I've been fit since November and felt really sharp in the last couple of weeks.
"It's been absolute murder just hanging on for that chance. I still haven't started a game for the club, but hopefully it will come soon."
Fans united
Wolves fans Mike Heighway and Jim Rivett have bought a permanent place at The Goldstone.
They have each forked out £20 for a spot on the north-east terrace at Albion's former home.
Seven hundred supporters have paid to have their name or the name of a loved one on The Goldstone map, published in every programme for home games.
At the end of the season a poster will be available from the club shop and a framed version displayed in the club boardroom.
Mike and Jim signed up after watching Wolves lose 4-1 at Withdean earlier this month.
Mike explained: "Some 20 years ago we were in the depths like Brighton and needed all the support we could get.
"I spoke to a lot of fans and just felt it was something I wanted to do for the club. We are all fans, even though we support different teams."
