Haywards Heath can go top of the league tomorrow, provided they defeat one of only two teams to beat them in London One this season.
Heath, currently second, host third-placed Hertford at Whitemans Green, knowing the destiny of the title is in their own hands.
Heath trail leaders Southend by two points and have two matches in hand.
Victory tomorrow and defeat for the Essex team will put Heath top and leave them in pole position with five matches of the league campaign remaining.
Skipper Alex Meredith said: "The title is there for us to lose. We are confident we can win tomorrow and don't want to give them too much respect but we know it will be tough.
"We lost up there by six points earlier in the season and it is going to very tight again. There could be a couple of points in it either way.
"If we don't lose again this season we can't be caught. Southend play Canterbury tomorrow but we won't worry about that result.
"We had Hertford watched last week. They don't have outstanding individuals but play well as a unit."
Heath are without forwards Nick Killick and Adrian Cassidy, who are both unavailable, while second row Dave Atkins is still suffering with the injured nerve in his shoulder that has kept him out for nearly two months.
Worthing can improve their promotion prospects in London Two South with victory at home to Tunbridge Wells.
