I feel elated - Brighton and Hove City Council has made the right decision concerning the restoration of the West Pier and I look forward to seeing work start.
Now let us have no more prevarication. Work must start immediately. I suggest the existing buildings are carefully dismantled and safely stored - we don't want to repeat the fiasco of the loss of the Palace Pier theatre.
Work can start on the restoration of the buildings where they are stored and at the same time work can continue at the pier site.
