Withdean have been promised a quick decision over Tuesday's farcical clash with Merstham.
The match at Woodside Road was abandoned 14 minutes from time when the Surrey side were reduced to six men.
A combination of injuries and three sendings off meant Merstham were unable to field the minimum seven players to finish the match.
Withdean, who were leading 4-0 at the time, are hoping to claim the points and the Combined Counties League have said they will not delay a decision on the matter.
League chairman John Bennett said: "Until we receive the referee's report we can't act.
"We will then consider the matter but the league rules do allow us to award the points should the committee think that would be right.
"We normally only meet once a month but if we get the referee's report we might be able to look at it in a couple of weeks rather than leaving it to next month."
Merstham trio Chris Malik, Shane Traynor and Anthony Jupp were all red carded, two for deliberate handball. With two substitutes already used, they were reduced to seven players when another limped off injured.
When they suffered another injury, their third substitute, player-manager Mick Sullivan, refused to go on because he had pulled a hamstring in the warm-up.
