I am sure there are many readers like myself who very much appreciate the articles on local history and local historical personalities Adam Trimingham contributes to The Argus.
Adam has a tremendous store of local historical knowledge he shares with us, particularly at weekends, and he is a man who loves his adopted city and its history and personalities and makes local history live.
I wonder, therefore, if one of our universities might see its way clear to honour Adam with an Honorary PhD or degree of similar standing in the light of the contribution he has made to local historical knowledge?
It would be a worthy and well-deserved honour.
