Fans of Thomas will be able to enjoy a double whammy this week as the part-comedian part-agitator treats us to two performances.

First he hosts a charity auction in aid of the Green Party at Grand Central, Surrey Street, on February 28. Then he will be on stage at the Gardner Arts Centre, Falmer, four days later as part of his national tour.

The former event is sure to get Mark's agile political antenna working since he has been promised time for a bit of a rant in return for presenting the evening.

There is live music from The Levellers and others as well as comedy and the chance to wave your supportive banner for the Green Party.

Tickets cost £10 and must be booked in advance. The show starts at 7.30pm.

Considering the revelatory nature of THAT Channel 4 programme and last year's offering about the Ilisu Dam, Mark's most recent show, After Ilisu, (about Iraq and the United States,) is guaranteed to enlighten.

Described as John Pilger with laughs or not, Thomas is a man dedicated to exposing hypocrisy and wrong-doing in high places with a mix of comedy, stunts and investigative journalism.

Whether you agree with his ideas or no, he'll get you thinking - and laughing your socks off.

Tickets cost £12.50. Show starts 8pm. Call 01273 685861.
