Lewes boss Jimmy Quinn has admitted the referee was right to call off Saturday's division one south clash with Worthing.
Quinn said: "It was just one small area of the pitch. We were trying to flatten it but it was really dangerous.
"In the end it was the right decision. I would rather not play than someone suffer a serious injury."
Rooks return to action tonight at Bromley.
Danny Wright will make his debut after signing from Molesey while fellow midfielder Paul Kennett is fit again after an ankle problem.
Meanwhile, midfielder Steve Sargeant continues his trial for Bognor at Chertsey tonight.
Matt Russell is banned after receiving five bookings but Kevin Murphy returns in defence.
