I read of the impressive list of buildings that have been refurbished in Brighton and Hove under its Regeneration Partnership and wondered why, when we need work on the King Alfred Leisure Centre in Hove, it cannot be accomplished without building 400 flats?
I presume these flats will be built on the car park which is filled most evenings by people using the centre.
I look forward to seeing the plans to find out what measures have been taken to provide parking, both for the sportsmen and women and the many occupants of the flats.
Hove Council managed to build the centre without this over-development, as do many small councils elsewhere in the country.
How about doing something for the residents for a change, instead of the "culture" of booze, drugs and punch-ups?
