Horsham want to extend Jamie Taylor's loan deal to fire them into a prime promotion spot.

The Aldershot striker will have just one game left of his loan spell after tomorrow's division one south clash at home to Leatherhead.

Hornets boss John Maggs, however, will approach the Shots asking to keep the little goal-getter for a further month.

Taylor hit the winner against Epsom and Ewell last week as Horsham put themselves right back in the promotion reckoning.

Maggs said: "I want Jamie to stay here for another month.

"We looked completely out of the promotion race a fortnight ago but it's back in our hands now."

Striker Rob Collins could return to the squad tomorrow.
