A man who held up a bingo hall at gunpoint got away with just £7 in cash.
The raider brandished what appeared to be a gun at reception staff at Gala Bingo in Portland Road, Hove, at 8pm on Saturday.
Staff gave him all the money at the reception desk before he fled.
The man, 5ft 8in and slim with a pale complexion, wore a black woollen hat and a scarf over his face.
In a separate incident, a gun-toting robber escaped on a bicycle after stealing cash from a video store in Brighton.
He demanded the takings from staff at Video Box in Elm Grove, took money from the till, then rode off on a mountain bike towards the city centre.
He wore dark clothes and a scarf covering most of his face. He struck at 8.55pm on Friday.
Anyone with information about either robbery should contact Sussex Police on 0845 6070999.
