Eastbourne Borough's push for promotion from the eastern division got another boost with a 1-0 win at Erith and Belvedere.
With only one defeat in their previous 21 league games Borough were eager to keep up the pressure on leaders Bashley.
Eastbourne dominated the first half but apart from a powerful Justin Harris header that flashed past the post in the second minute the Erith goalkeeper was rarely tested.
Borough again controlled the second period keeping the home attack at bay and patiently working towards the all important goal that came on 61 minutes when Harris collected the ball 18 yards out, turned and coolly slotted home inside the far post.
Manager Garry Wilson said: "We controlled the game and were unfortunate not to win by a larger margin. Erith were a hardworking team but we rarely looked in danger."
