Fairtrade promoters are manning displays at three supermarkets in Worthing until Saturday.
Co-op stores in Newlands Street and Goring Road and Sainsbury at Lyons Farm signed up for the Fairtrade promotion being run by Oxfam, the World Development Movement and St Mary's, Worthing Justice and Peace Group.
The Fairtrade mark on products guarantees the people who made them get a fair price, protecting them from falling international market prices.
Oxfam's Rod Thick said: "Through our displays, we hope to demonstrate to the people of Worthing they can make a real difference to the lives of some of the poorest people in the world by buying Fairtrade products."
