While going to the football with my six-year-old son, Jack, to receive the first prize he won at the Junior Seagull Christmas party - a photo with the team - and we approached the bridge below Withdean stadium, he had a slight panic attack and would not walk under the bridge because of the trains going over the top.
Two gentleman appeared in a car, asking directions. They could see my predicament and asked Jack if he was willing to drive under the bridge, which he was. They drove us 40 feet to the other side, dropped us off and vanished.
We then had a lovely day and the Albion won. We would like to thank these two men and I can only think they must have been angels.
