Employers forced to let staff work from home as a result of the new flexible working regulations face a mountain of extra red tape, a law firm has claimed.
Trowers & Hamlins have warned companies will have to comply with a range of health and safety laws and other requirements even if staff are not in their normal workplace.
The regulations, which give more working rights to staff with young children, come into force on April 6.
Employers must ensure staff are working in a safe environment, that adequate first aid is available and sex discrimination does not occur when deciding on flexible working requests.
