Long delays are expected in the next month on one of the busiest roads in Sussex.
Brighton and Hove City Council is resurfacing the seafront from 54 King's Road to Pool Valley from Monday. The work is expected to take four weeks to complete. It follows work a little further west on King's Road last year.
After it has been finished, there will be a gap for Easter before work starts on strengthening the seafront arches under the A259 on April 28.
Lengthy hold-ups are expected and there will be a contraflow system with temporary traffic lights.
There will also be temporary closures of some side roads.
