I suggest if the residents of Falmer are so opposed to the Albion's stadium, they make a swap with the residents of Newhaven and let us have the stadium.
I am sure more people would welcome this and be prepared to put up with the noise and traffic for one or two days a week and the consequent extra business generated for the town.
We have a railway station and could provide parking. We could find space for a very nice stadium, I am sure, and I would far rather have the sporting facility than the constant belching of health-threatening fumes from such a monstrous provision as the incinerator we are still threatened with and lorries trundling to and fro all day and night, filling the place with rubbish from Brighton and Hove and other places.
Falmer can have the waste-disposal incinerator proposed for Newhaven. So, how would you like that, Falmer? Think yourselves lucky.
