The plight of residents afflicted by flooding will be considered again tomorrow.
People living at the junction of Windermere Crescent and Coniston Road, Goring, Worthing, feared they would be left to fend for themselves after a borough council report said nothing could be done.
Several times in the past few years their gardens have been flooded by rainwater pouring off Palatine Park.
But the council said it did not have the £20,000 needed to build a dam and pump the water away, sparking criticism from those affected.
The matter has been referred to the executive of the council in a bid to find a solution.
