Schools from Sompting and Worthing are set for a classic final in the Schools Link basketball competition.
The multi-school tournament, organised by basketball team Worthing Thunder, has come down to the last two teams, who play each other on Saturday.
White Styles Middle School, in White Styles Road, Sompting, beat Buckingham Middle School by ten points to six at Lancing Manor Leisure Centre while West Park Middle School in Goring beat Our Lady of Sion 26-11 to earn their places in the final.
The annual tournament involves a host of schools in Adur and Worthing competing with each other to represent their district.
The final will be held at Worthing Leisure Centre before Worthing Thunder's home match.
Mark Kentell, Adur District Council's sports development officer, said: "I'm really pleased for White Styles as this is the first time that Buckingham Middle have not won through to represent Adur in the final.
"White Styles teacher Steve Chadwin has worked hard with his players and generated real enthusiasm for basketball at the school."
All of the players were from school Years 6 and 7 and many of them have only been playing basketball for a few weeks.
Any girls and boys in school Years 7, 8 or 9 who would like to represent Adur at the BAA Gatwick Sussex Youth Games Basketball competition should contact Mr Kentell on 01273 263044.
