Albion's on-loan Arsenal striker Graham Barrett has praised supporters for sticking by him during his goal drought.
The young Irishman's only goal for the Seagulls so far was in manager Steve Coppell's first match in charge five months ago.
But he insists he is not disappointed with his game and feels his main strength has been setting up opportunities for others.
He said: "If I hadn't been working hard or pulling my weight the fans would have told me, but they've never done so. They've always been good to me.
"I'm always happy if I can contribute by creating something. I've just got to listen to the people who know best."
Barrett, who has started only two of the last nine games, is vying with Tony Rougier to partner Gary Hart as the Seagulls aim to upset play-off contenders Ipswich at Portman Road.
