While touring the South, I came across a rather excellent museum at Shoreham Airport, stuffed to the brim with superb exhibits.
However, as a disabled person and wheelchair-bound, it was while looking at external exhibits I found the area looking as though a bomb had hit it.
Mounds of earth were everywhere, making a trip to the temporary toilets (which have no hand-washing or drying facilities) like a mountaineering expedition.
A very helpful member of staff told me major works were in progress and had been for many months to build proper toilets.
An area at the back of the museum was to serve as a car park and the airfield contractors were trying to get the job done as soon as possible. It looked to me like trying to squeeze a quart into a pint pot.
Nonetheless, I found this museum one of the best I have visited. I trust the owners of Shoreham Airport will get this work done in the shortest possible time.
