Selsey and Redhill eased their relegation fears with victories over Horsham YMCA and Arundel respectively to pile on the pressure for Peacehaven.
Matt Hurst capped only his second start of the season by scoring the only goal as Selsey beat second-placed Horsham 1-0.
Victory extended Selsey's mini-revival to four wins and two draws from their last six games which has lifted them eight points above the drop zone.
Manager Danny Hinshelwood knows the threat of relegation is gradually disappearing and said: "You still think of relegation until you are absolutely safe but I set a target of 12 wins from our last 17 games and we are doing pretty well at the moment.
"I am also pleased with three clean sheets on the spin."
Goals from Luke Jones and a Stephen Gillett penalty earned Redhill a 2-1 win at home to Arundel, who replied late on through Gary Norgate.
Redhill boss Ian Dawes said: "It wasn't such a good game as when we beat Burgess Hill last week but it was a win and we deserved it."
Redhill are now ten points above Peacehaven and should be safe.
