A tow-truck crewman suffered burns when the car he was recovering burst into flames.
It is thought a spark ignited petrol leaking from the abandoned vehicle, which had been dumped in the car park at Brighton station.
Flames damaged the tow truck and a car parked nearby.
The crewman was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, for treatment to his hands. He is not thought to have been seriously hurt.
Firefighters were called to the station at 6.15pm yesterday.
