All good things must come to an end - at least that's what endless girlfriends have told me.
Considering the date of the gig, you'd be forgiven for thinking this was an April Fool's Day prank but, sadly, no.
It really is the turn of the seminal Comedy Dairy to abandon me and the other titter fans.
The Dairy made its name as one of the South's leading new acts and material nights and became the most diverse evening of laughter on the comedy calendar.
Music, cheap booze and games will be on parade and the line-up includes the best double act in the country, Dyball and Kerr, and hilarious character comic Val Mellors.
Comedy coagulant Guy Venables will be taming the unwieldy beast in his role as compere.
All is not lost, however, as Guy will launch a new night, The Joker Basement, at Komedia in June.
This show starts at 8.30pm. Tickets £6/£4. Call 01273 647100.
