Experts will help businesses find ways to deal with soaring insurance costs at a seminar.
David Frost, director general of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), will be the guest speaker at the event organised by Sussex Enterprise on Monday.
Mr Frost has been urging the Government to help businesses tackle the growing problem and the Office of Fair Trading has agreed to look into the issue.
He will be joined by Corinne Lamoureux, of insurance and risk management firm Sutton Winson, who will suggest practical steps businesses can take to reduce their premiums.
David Ripley, head of business development at Sussex Enterprise, said: "In a recent survey, 94 per cent of members said the rise in insurance costs was the main problem their business faced.
"Many of the cases coming to us suggest premium increases are disproportionate to the risk or unrelated to the claims history.
Some companies are simply going out of business because they cannot afford to cover themselves.
"This event is designed to shed light on some of the mysteries surrounding insurance premiums."
The seminar will take place at the Sussex Enterprise offices in Burgess Hill from 6pm to 8pm.
