Chichester's final match of the season at Fareham in South Premier division one on Saturday was abandoned amid controversy.
Player-coach Neil Pendle was unhappy with a number of things during the game and when goalkeeper Steve Jones was dismissed for retaliating to a nasty incident, Pendle decided not to continue.
The league have subsequently deducted Chichester three points and ordered the game to be replayed later in the season.
Pendle said: "I thought I had conceded the game but it turns out I could not do that. I was basically wrong in my application of the rules."
Chichester's Sam Beere suffered a broken ankle which means he will miss the Sussex Cup semi-final with Lewes this Saturday.
