A popular children's playground is undergoing a major revamp in preparation for the summer season.
Peter Pan's Playground in the grounds of Beach House, East Worthing (see picture), has been taken over by Clive Haggar, 53, who also runs the boats, train and playground at Brooklands leisure park.
Clive, who has been sprucing up the attractions at Peter Pan's said: "I fancied a new challenge but it was in a bit of a state.
"I have had to put a new roof on the building, which is almost complete, and I have rebuilt bits and pieces of the apparatus. Painting will take place after Easter. I am gradually getting there."
He has been running Brooklands since 1991, where the attractions include a scaled-down version of the Western Comet train (see picture, page 9) and 20 motor boats, which resumed service at the weekend following the winter lay-off.
