Tributes have been paid to a young man who collapsed and died after a swim at the Aquarena pool in Worthing.
Neil Young 26, from Rustington, was a member of Worthing Referees' Society and an avid Crystal Palace fan.
Society chairman Keith Brisley writes in the latest edition of its magazine The Whistler: "He loved football and had been refereeing for less than three years, having passed his exam on May 16, 2000.
"Neil liked to live his life to the full and got involved with our society activities immediately. He was a willing volunteer who participated in all the activities and encouraged the younger element to join in our events.
"I always thought Neil to be one for the future and his untimely death is sad for all concerned."
A post-mortem revealed Neil died of natural causes.
