Police are appealing for witnesses to a vicious assault on a man on Worthing Pier.
The man, 21, was punched and kicked in the head by a man as he left Lush nightclub with friends on Sunday, March 30, at 1.30am.
The victim was taken to Worthing Hospital, where he needed surgery.
The offender is described as white, 20, with short dark hair. He was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, unbuttoned to the waist. He had tattoos on his neck.
Detective Constable Andrea Thompson said: "This was a vicious and unprovoked attack on a young man who was out enjoying an evening with friends.
"The attack happened at a busy time as many people were leaving the nightclub.
"Anyone who saw the attack or the offender, who was behaving aggressively, should call me on 0845 6070999 ext 81165."
