Brighton and Hove Albion defender Ivar Ingimarsson is poised to remain on loan from Wolves for the rest of the relegation fight.

The Icelandic international's second month expires after Saturday's home game against Preston.

Wolves boss Dave Jones is happy for him to stay as long as he does not encounter an injury crisis.

"There is no need to reconsider Ivar at the moment," said Jones.

"He is doing really well and is on top of his form, so I would rather him play and be on stand-by for me all the time than return and not play."

Jones lost Keith Andrews recently with a broken leg, but he still has Ludo Pollet and Marc Edworthy and he expects to have Mark Clyde back from a knee injury after tomorrow's match against Nottingham Forest.
