A tax consultant has won a national award for his work with a youth club.
Paul Hyland, 35, from Hastings, has received the Everybody Counts Award 2003 for younger chartered accountants.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and Accountancy Age magazine honour members who have made an outstanding contribution in an area of voluntary work. The projects each receive £2,000.
Mr Hyland, who works for Ashdown Hurrey in the town, started the Hastings youth club in 1996.
His financial wizardry ensures 75 per cent of the cost of camping trips is subsidised by the club, despite weekly subs of 25p.
