I am horrified Adur is to revert to collection of rubbish on the same day each week at a cost of about £70,000.
I am led to understand this is mainly because residents could not cope with the date shift each time there is a Bank Holiday.
Just how hard can it be? What do we have diaries for?
What about a sticker put on the bins with the date? Or on your fridge?
For heaven's sake the kind fellows even collect your rubbish from your bins if you forget.
No, this is not complicated.
The result is the effect of council weakness and a UK trait to moan and whinge about the slightest difficulty.
The money was otherwise pencilled in for improvements to the seafront.
Might I suggest it would all be better placed doing something about the dog mess that still proliferates on our open areas and stops children being able to use them safely.
Small wonder council tax has to go up.
