Worthing Football Club has been allowed to keep its new floodlights.
Four floodlight columns at the Woodside Road ground had been replaced with two new sets without permission from Worthing Borough Council.
Despite one homeowner complaining of too much light shining on his property, town planners agreed the new lights could stay.
The planners made conditions that the club should carry out work to reduce light pollution within two months and the floodlights should not remain on for more than 30 minutes after a match.
They also gave permission for netting to be set up between the floodlight pylons to stop footballs going in to the gardens of houses in Bulkington Avenue.
