Residents are being invited to make comments on a strategy for seaside development.
Brighton and Hove City Council has outlined its vision for the seafront, where millions of pounds will be invested.
The document, Brighton and Hove: A Seafront For All, covers from Brighton Marina to Shoreham Harbour.
The centrepiece is the rebuilding of the Brighton Centre by the end of 2008.
Other features include new free family entertainment at Peter Pan's Playground in Kemp Town and preserving Hove Lawns as open spaces.
The plan includes a new sports centre at the King Alfred in Hove and a leisure-related scheme for Black Rock. The West Pier restoration is also included. Work will take place within the next year on the final phase of the seafront restoration in Brighton up to the Hove boundary.
This will including renovating the seafront bandstand, putting in a boules terrain and providing new public toilets.
Chief executive David Panter said: "We feel it important people know there is a broad vision for this area and what it contains. We want to make it clear this will be a varied and interesting place for residents and to enhance it as one of the primary reasons people like to live here."
Copies of the leaflet will be available in libraries, leisure centres public buildings, town halls and City Direct points.
The council is inviting people to make comments.
