Aidan Radnedge describes the proposals for Brighton Marina as a "bold new look" (The Argus, April 14).
A few words come to my mind but not "bold". I would have said garish or ghastly.
One would expect that sort of design in the US, where it should stay.
The cliffs would be blocked out. I would rather look at the cliffs and nature than blocks of concrete, no matter what colour they would be.
The Marina design was a total mess and still is, to some extent. I wonder who agreed the original plans and why?
On the whole, it is as bad as the plan for the redevelopment of the King Alfred centre.
On that topic, the people of Brighton and Hove should be able to vote because they will have to live with it.
