The Argus is today offering a £5,000 reward to help catch the killer of Brighton schoolteacher Jane Longhurst.
It is vital that people across Sussex immediately tell police of anything they know or have spotted which could shed light on what happened to Jane.
That could be from March 14, the day she was last seen in Brighton, to the final hours before her burning body was found in Pulborough last Saturday.
Ever since her disappearance, many circumstances surrounding Jane's fate have baffled even the police.
If she was abducted, how was that achieved without arousing suspicion, seemingly in broad daylight and in a very small window of opportunity on March 14?
How and why did her killer manage to keep her body hidden for more than a month, surrounded by relentless publicity and appeals for information?
And what possessed her murderer to suddenly try to dispose of the body in a popular nature spot on Easter weekend?
All of these questions deserve answers. But most importantly, Jane's grieving family and friends deserve justice. As does the whole community.
If our offer of a £5,000 reward can draw into the open the crucial evidence to trap Jane's killer, it will be money well spent. Any tiny scrap of information could prove crucial.
