Hastings United will be relegated from the Dr Martens premier division if they fail to win at Weymouth tomorrow.
They would also face the drop regardless of their own result if Hinckley win at Tiverton and Grantham pick up a point at Worcester.
Manager George Wakeling is frustrated his side's fate is not in their own hands.
He said: "We know it is do or die now and we will be going there trying to die for our cause. We have been talking about must-win games for weeks now, but this time we won't have a second chance.
"It is not just about us though, which is the frustrating thing, because even if we win we could still go down."
United will travel to Weymouth without striker Rob Collins after United terminated his loan deal from Ryman League club Horsham.
Wakeling said: "It hasn't worked out for him here, so we decided to let him go."
Stewart Holmes and Peter Fear both miss Crawley's trip to Ilkeston. Holmes hurt his knee in Wednesday's draw with Tiverton while Fear has a groin problem.
