The feature "Local service stamped out" (The Argus, April 24) highlights the closure of small post offices.
Our local post office on Ditchling Road, Brighton, closed recently and I am now required to go to the post office in the Co-op in London Road, where the queues are exceedingly long.
I am yet to go there without finding a queue stretching out of the corridor set up to accommodate people waiting.
What amazes me, at this time, is with local people going to the polls, our politicians are not mounting massive campaigns against these closures.
I mourn the passing of campaigning local councillors as much as I do the loss of our wonderful local post office.
