With almost 100 Green Party candidates across East and West Sussex, we are offering radical yet practical alternative solutions to the challenges facing local communities and the councils that represent them.
Drawing on the experiences gained from Green councillors already elected in Brighton and Oxford, we have already seen the differences we can make, from improving public transport and preventing the selling-off of more public services to protecting and developing housing and education services and creating Home Zones in residential areas.
Under a joint Green administration, Oxford was the first English council to transfer to renewable energy, thus reducing climate-changing gas emissions.
I implore you not to just hope for a better future but to vote for one.
-Caroline Lucas, Green MEP for SE England, Brighton
