Crawley boss Francis Vines is demanding a vast improvement from his side in their Dr Martens Cup final second leg against Halesowen at Broadfield Stadium tonight.
Reds went down to a disappointing 2-1 defeat in the first leg a fortnight ago after conceding two goals in the last five minutes.
That was followed by three consecutive league draws before a 2-1 away defeat against already relegated Ilkeston Town last Saturday.
Halesowen are also on the brink of the drop from the premier division but Vines is taking nothing for granted and does not expect his players to either.
He said: "We should have won the first game 4-0 but ended up conceding two late goals. That is what you get for not taking your chances and we have to make sure that doesn't happen again.
"It makes no difference who a cup final is against, the players should be up for it.
"They should be up for it even if it was a Sunday morning cup final, so that shouldn't be a problem.
"It is just a case of whether we play the way we can play.
"We have not been doing that lately but there will be no second chances tonight so we have to make sure we don't take anything for granted and get the right result."
Vines is sweating on the fitness of Ben Judge who picked up a back injury on Saturday.
Stewart Holmes is rated 50-50 with a knee problem as is captain Peter Fear who has missed the last nine games with groin trouble.
Vines is optimistic about having a full strength side.
He said: "I am hoping we will have everyone available, which is something we have not had for a while.
"I should be confident going into a game at full strength but I was confident last Saturday and look what happened.
"Regardless of who plays, we know we can do better than we have been lately and we need to show that and make sure we give a performance which is acceptable."
