Once again, a runaway bus smashed into a building in West Street, Brighton (The Argus, April 28).
Once again, the driver had left the bus unattended on a busy street.
Once again, it is thought someone got in and released the handbrake.
That means the bus was left with either the door or window open. Fortunately, no one was injured or killed.
Fortunately, another vehicle was not involved.
I was there on both occasions. The only people around West Street at 2am are taxi drivers and clubbers.
How long before we have a fatality?
I am used to these idiots doing stupid things in West Street and if Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company would like to contact me I will be only too willing to give my advice on how to lock and secure a bus.
-James the taxi driver, Hove
