Albion ace Bobby Zamora is determined to go out with a bang by adding to his 13-goal tally.
Sunday's make-or-break relegation game at Grimsby is widely expected to be Zamora's last for the club before a move to the Premiership next season.
Boss Steve Coppell believes his star striker is in the mood to end his Albion career with a flourish.
"Any player wants to play at the highest level and he is certainly capable of that," Coppell said.
"I also know Bobby wants to finish the season on a real high.
"The summer will take care of itself. Bobby wants to finish the season off scoring goals."
Zamora marked his return from a knee injury by scoring in the 2-1 home defeat against Grimsby at the end of September.
He has been on target in each of the last two matches, against Sheffield Wednesday and Watford, with Paul Kitson as his partner.
Kitson also found the net against Watford at Withdean last Saturday, his second goal in five games after a season plagued by injuries.
The former West Ham marksman has the added incentive of trying to score the 100th senior goal of his career at Blundell Park to help Albion to the win they need for a chance of avoiding the drop.
Coppell said: "First and foremost Paul is a good player. He is getting that much sharper.
"It just makes you wonder if we'd had him all season the difference he could have made. We are ever so grateful to have him around at the moment."
The Grimsby game is being shown live at the Coral greyhound stadium in Hove on a big screen and 40 TV monitors as part of Sunday's eight-race card.
Doors open at 11.30 am, admission is free and children are welcome providing they are accompanied by an adult.
The Reserves, represented almost entirely by the under 19's, drew 0-0 in their last match of the season against Northampton at Culver Road, Lancing, yesterday.
Shaun Wilkinson returned from suspension and sub Darren Budd made his first appearance since breaking a leg in October.
