Kyle Woolven (recently featured in a Junior Seagulls article) tried his best to keep the Albion up, even resorting to lucky charms and prayer mats.
Kyle is known to many as the youngest season ticket-holder at Brighton and Hove Albion.
He has attended from the tender age of two and has just turned four.
He was holding his breath watching the match, cheering on his favourite player, Bobby Zamora, and sitting on the prayer mat supplied in The Argus on May 3.
Kyle's older sister, Rebecca, tried her best to help, making him a blue-and-white beeswax candle complete with seagull to burn during the match.
He lit it when we were one goal down and during the time it burned the Albion scored two.
Unfortunately, the candle and the Albion's luck burnt out completely and another goal went in for the opposition.
Still, Kyle is loyal and devoted to his team and will be back, although one division lower, next year cheering on the Albion.
