A massive, massive challenge. That is the blunt assessment from skipper Jodie Levett as Sussex aim to cause a genuine County Championship shock.
The county go to Cornwall in the last eight tomorrow ready to try and silence up to 3,000 partisan home fans at Launceston.
It is the toughest mission in county rugby but Levett, the Worthing flanker, insists: "I'm looking forward to it.
"I always look forward to playing in front of 3,000 mad, screaming Cornish fans.
"They are very knowledgeable and it has got to be better than playing in front of a couple of hundred people.
"We have played them two or three times and we have never won but it has always been respectable.
"There's a big gulf between the level of club rugby the players are playing at in the two counties.
"They have National One and National Two players but we will not make it easy for them. We will put on as good a show as we can."
Sussex's unavailability problems in the centre have not been helped by the red card for debutant Roly Killeen in last week's thrilling 30-23 defeat of Kent.
Teenager Jack Smallman, who plays for Chichester, is being lined up for a first start in midfield after scoring with his first touch as a replacement last week.
Henry Goodburn returns on the left wing, one of four survivors in the back division from the Sussex side knocked out of the Championship by Cornwall four years ago.
Other changes come at prop, where Emmet Edwards starts along with either Danny Piggott or Paul Lacey.
Cornwall reached the quarter-finals with a 59-0 thrashing of Berkshire and will be highly motivated.
Levett said: "They will treat us seriously. We are in the quarter-finals on merit. Their pack will be very strong because that is the way they play the game.
"They have got strength all round and, after not reaching the final last year, they will be looking to win it this time."
Cornwall's team has a strong Penzance representation, including a Polynesian influence in hooker Viliami Ma'asi and No. 8 Lakalaka Waqanivere.
Ricky Pellow has been brought back to his native county having spent the club season playing scrum half for Manchester.
Steve Evans, who skippers the side from outside half, was encouraged by the destruction of Berkshire and has called for a big turnout from supporters tomorrow.
He said: "The support was great and hopefully it will get even better.
"It really helps when you see the Black and Gold all around the ground. The boys played very well but we know we can get better."
Sussex were travelling west this afternoon to help their preparation.
