What a fantastic night. It was a bit like coming home for a thirtysomething clubber like me.
I must admit to feeling a touch of nostalgia as the laser went on while "Evil" Eddie Richards went off but this was about the here and now.
The Concorde 2 was full to the brim (not just the main room but the bar too) of smiling, dancing, friendly clubbers intent on just one thing - enjoying themselves.
On most other nights Deby Carter should have been headlining but, while the punters made their way in, she warmed things up nicely. Eddie more than lived up to expectations.
Tech-house feels like the spiritual successor to that acid stuff we used to lose ourselves in and he certainly knows his stuff.
Clubbing is often accused of being too exclusive but this was quite the opposite - a real mix of characters.
