Detectives have renewed their appeal for information following the rape of a teenager in a park.
Officers say they have a number of leads but want anyone with information about the attack on the 15-year-old girl in Hampden Park, Eastbourne, on Wednesday last week to come forward.
House-to-house inquiries in the area were carried out on Friday as police returned to the scene of the attack, which has been described as "horrific" by senior officers.
Detective Inspector Martin Sapwell, leading the investigation, said: "Although a number of people have come forward, we are sure there are many more who haven't yet contacted police.
"We spoke to members of the public who were in Hampden Park in a bid to get more information and, as a result, a number of leads are now being followed up by detectives.
"However, we need more and urge anyone who thinks they saw anything suspicious to come forward."
The girl was attacked as she walked home from school through dense woodland at about 3.30pm.
Her attacker came up from behind, covered her head with a blue jumper and dragged her off the path.
After the assault he fled with her red Nokia 8310 mobile phone, leaving her to stagger for help.
Mr Sapwell said: "This man must have been in the park area before he targeted his victim.
"Someone must have seen him.
"If you were in Hampden Park between 2.30pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday then please come forward. You may help us piece together who this man is.
"We want to catch him as quickly as possible."
He pleaded with anyone who knew the attacker to pass on information to the police.
Anyone with information should call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555111.
