Actress Michelle Collins was the star at Brighton racecourse last night when she flew in by helicopter for the evening meeting.
The former EastEnders star, who has gone on to play lead roles in TV dramas including Two Thousand Acres of Sky, was the guest of Pietro and Sue Addis, owners of the Brighton restaurants Donatello and Pinnochio.
Michelle, wearing a grey patterned sleeveless top and skirt, presented trophies to winning owners, jockeys, and trainers at the six-race meeting.
But she was unable to present a winner's prize to her host as Donatello Primo, owned by Pietro Addis, was unplaced in the 8.30pm race, the Donatello Handicap. It came fifth out of 14 runners.
Former ITN newsreader Carol Barnes and Albion player Kerry Mayo were also among the guests at the last of the successful summer racing evenings.
The crowds will be back at the racecourse, with its new facilities, on Monday afternoon.
