The apologists for urban 4x4s stress the "family friendliness" and practicality of their vehicles.
Why, then, do they see the need to stick steel bull-bars on the front of them?
To my knowledge, there have been no reports of kangaroos hopping across Sussex roads in front of hapless Range Rover drivers.
There are, however, plenty of scared pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists that these idiots have tried to push into ditches on country roads.
