Businesses which help the environment in Crawley could win awards for their efforts.
The Crawley Environmental Forum has launched the Green Business Awards 2003 and is seeking firms with green ideas.
Any company or organisation in the borough can enter, including manufacturing and service industries, public, private and charitable organisations.
Prizes include a day's free training from auditors SGS Yarsley and corporate membership of the Sussex Wildlife Trust.
The forum, an independent environmental group, comprises representatives from business, education, the voluntary sector, community groups and Crawley Borough Council.
The awards are sponsored by BAA Gatwick, SGS Yarsley, the council and Varian Medical Systems. Entry is free. Call 01293 438543 or visit www.crawley.gov.uk/gba for an application.
