West Sussex Health and Social Care NHS Trust's all-too-familiar "Rob Peter to pay Paul" policy - selling Haywards Heath's Norman Hay Hall to fund the rebuilding of nearby NHS hospitals - now threatens the critical Meals on Wheels Service for the vulnerable elderly in the county (The Argus, June 7).

This is an immoral policy created and implemented by people in highly-paid places, just like those at West Sussex County Council responsible for our children's education, health and social care.

Four winters ago, a coterie of party-political, ideologists at County Hall made a similarly immoral policy decision to destroy the hot school meal service to 64,000 children in 242 primary schools throughout West Sussex.

Do we really care enough about our vulnerable old and young to right these terrible wrongs? I am beginning to wonder.
