An inquest into the death of a climber who died after falling 75ft from a rock face has been opened and adjourned.
Simon Divito, 27, from Brighton, was climbing solo without ropes at Dewerstone Rock, near Shaugh Prior, on Dartmoor when he fell at about 2pm on Saturday.
He was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where he died 24 hours later.
The accident happened as Mr Divito was climbing the Leviathan route, which is rated as "very severe".
After the fall, first aid was administered by climbers from the Tunbridge Wells Mountaineering Club.
